To create a details view, click on the Quick access menu and select "Details view" : 

You will be directed to the Details views manager :

Here, you can create, edit, publish/unpublish or delete details view.

To create a new details view, click on the "New" button :

You can see details view creation is divided into several tabs.



Here are the basic parameters.

  1. Publish or unpublish the template view.
  2. Is default : If you don't have any default details view, the template is automatically set to by default = Yes.
  3. Template name : Enter here the name of your template.
  4. Alias : If empty, it will be automatically generated.
  5. Access : Set which user groups will be able to enter in this form.


Header Html

Enter here the html displayed at the top of the view. At right, the toolbox with different elements you can add in the header. Copy/Paste the elements.

You can leave this editor empty.

You can use the loadposition syntax as in a Joomla article :



In JBuildozer, you have a toolbox at the right of the editor. This toolbox depends on the template in which you are. This is here you can get custom fields you created or other elements. Here are the differents elements you can find in the details view toolbox.

  1. Custom fields : custom fields you have created.
  2. Default fields : id_entry, categorie_entry, latitude_entry, longitude_entry, created_by_userid, created_by_user_name, created_by_username, create_by_user_email, creationdate_entry, modificationdate_entry, published.
  3. Categories : id_categorie, name_categorie, description_categorie, order_categorie, id_parent_categorie, published, image_categorie.
  4. Visits (readonly) : Display the number of visits with the {number_of_visits} code.
  5. Google Maps : Display the Google map you created (in the Google Maps tab) with the {googlemap} code. Also the fields {googlemap_departure_address} and {googlemap_directions_panel} allows you to integrate the itinirary system.
  6. Calculations : Allows you to integrate calculations inside the {calc}{/calc} syntax (example : {calc}1+1{/calc}). You can also make calculations on custom fields, example : {calc}{custom_field_12}*{custom_field_19}{/calc}.
  7. PHP Code : Allow you to integrate php code inside the {php}{/php} syntax (example : {php}echo 'Hello world !';{/php}). You don't have to write <?php and ?>.
  8. Slideshow : Integrate the slideshow you created in the "Slideshow" tab with the {slideshow} syntax.
  9. Contact form : Add the contact form you created in the "Contact form" tab with the {contact_form} syntax.
  10. Action links : back, edit, delete and details links.


Note that in details views, the toolbox is the same in header html, content html, footer html and in the slideshow creation ("Slideshow" tab).


Content Html

Content html is the principal/central part of the view.

Footer Html

The footer html works exactly like the header html above.


No result Html

Enter here the text that will be displayed if the system doesn't find the entry.


No Access Html

Enter here the html displayed to users who don't have the permission to access here.


Google Maps

Create a Google map here. This is the map you can display with the {googlemap} syntax in the header, content and footer.

Note that you can use the {googlemap} syntax a single time in a same template.


Map styles

You can add as many map styles you want by clicking on the "+" button.

  1. Published : 0 to unpublish / 1 to publish the style
  2. Feature Type is the Googlemap element you want to stylize : 
  3. Element Type : 
  4. Visibility : 
  5. Color : enter here a hex color for your element (ex. #FFFFFF)
  6. Invert Lightness : 
  7. Weight : 
  8. Del : to delete the style.


Map parameters


  1. Map Type : select your googlemap type : ROADMAP, SATELLITE, HYBRID, TERRAIN.
  2. Default Zoom : set the default zoom for the map. You can also set zoom to "auto".
  3. Map container / CSS Style : css code for the map container.



Note that Google map styles can be applied only on the ROADMAP and TERRAIN map types.


Markers styles

Here you can customize your marker with the following parameters :

  1. Published : True/False.
  2. icon url : Enter here image url you want to display as marker. Default marker is displayed by default.
  3. icon width : Width of the marker in px.
  4. icon height : Height of the marker in px.
  5. title : Title of the marker (will be displayed on mouse over).
  6. dragCrossMove : Activate or not the dragCrossMove parameter.
  7. clickable : Set the marker clickable or not.
  8. draggable : Set the marker draggable or not. Allows users to move marker where they want.
  9. bouncy : Add a bouncy effect to the marker.
  10. bouceGravity : When "bouncy" is set to true, you can customize its gravity here.
  11. autoPan : Set auto pan or not.
  12. hide : Hide the marker or not.



In JBuildozer, you can create a slideshow with the datas of the entry. Once the slideshow created, you can integrate it where you want on the header, content or footer html with the {slideshow} syntax.

Contact form

Create your contact form here.


Create the form

Write here your own contact form and place input fields where you want.



You can also enter {output_email} in the "Sender email" field (as described below).

Sender email and Sender name are required. Else, the contact function couldn't work.

Here, we create a contact form. Once created, you can add the contact form wherever you want in your template (header, content and footer html) with the {contact_form} syntax.

Having a contact form is good ! But you have to prepare email templates to avoid to receive empty emails. See below.


Prepare administrator(s) email

You can also use the toolbox elements in Subject and email content.


Prepare user(s) email

You can also use the toolbox elements in Subject and email content.


Prepare "Receive a copy" email

You can also use the toolbox elements in Subject and email content.



Manage here the CSS of the details view template.

Note that conflicts are not possible between these CSS and others CSS you use on your Joomla website. JBuildozer integrates an awesome system to prevent CSS conflicts.



Manage here the Javascript of the details view template. Enter your custom code.

You can use standard javascript or jQuery code. If you use jQuery code, note that you have to replace the "$" char by "jQuery" string (as in the example above).
